We recommend purchasing your Red Goddess Celebration Box™ no more than 2 years prior to a young girl getting her first period. Tell tale signs she is getting close to reaching full maturity can be based on what your pediatrician says or by your own personal observations.
Some indications may be her “bud” development, pubic hair, mood swings or possible skin breakouts on the face. On the average, you can guess that when seeing most of these changes or all of these changes, she has a window of about 2 years before getting her first period.
To be sure, a pediatrician's advice is always recommended. However, with the surprises that Mother Nature can bring, there is still no guarantee.
Most of the items in your Red Goddess Celebration Box™ are valid for a lifetime. However, our bath and body products, because they are made fresh with pure essential oils, have a shelf life of approximately 18 months (although we have never received complaints of rancidness after 18 months).
Therefore, we cannot offer any returns or exchanges due to premature purchases.

FAQs
I don’t have daughters, is this box appropriate to give to my niece? Definitely! This box is intended for any girl, no matter the relationship to you. Whether she’s your niece, younger sister, goddaughter or granddaughter, any girl would feel lucky to have someone like you care enough to set such a positive example.
Is this Celebration Box considered a religious or spiritual gift? NO! This celebration is about bringing a missing piece of history back to life. It’s for anyone who wants to bring a constructive and encouraging approach toward today’s maturing young women.
When exactly should I give this gift to my daughter? Although the celebration was initially created to be given during the very first moon cycle, it is not crucial that it be celebrated on the very first day of her period. Be sure to give her space and privacy if needed, without pressuring the actual celebration. What’s most important is that you set aside a specific time that’s dedicated only to her. I have also heard from several mothers who prefer to give their daughter the box before they reach womanhood, but still intend to celebrate the day. Either way will shed a positive vibe in your future young woman.
How will I know if my daughter will like a Celebration Box? Suppose she just shies away and won’t talk to me? It is completely understandable for a young girl who gets her first period to act moody and distant. After all, her body has just transformed into a full fledged woman, yet she probably still feels like a little girl inside. Plus she is probably feeling crampy, swollen and tired… all understandable. Respect her privacy keeping an upbeat attitude until she feels comfortable to talk. This may take days! Remember, this is exactly the purpose of the celebration box; for moments when parent or child feel uncomfortable to talk. By putting the emphasis on the box and not the silence, you have an open doorway to communicate about what the box contains and how to use each item. If she still feels uneasy about the actual celebration, she can always take her treasure and keep it in her private space to refer to when she feels like it. And yes, you are still setting a positive example toward women… especially if you are respecting her needs without pressuring expectations on her.
I am a single dad and uncomfortable discussing my daughter's first period with her. Will this box help? Yes! The Celebration Box is perfect for single dads like you because not only are you helping her celebrate becoming a woman, but you are setting a simple, but strong example of a man respecting a woman; a key factor in the maturation of young girls today. Instructions accompany each Celebration Box as well, or she can look over directions in the privacy of her own room.
My daughter got her first period months ago. Is it too late to purchase the Red Goddess Celebration Box™? It’s never too late to set a positive attitude in the eyes of women! Although the Celebration Box was initially created for girls just getting their first period, every girl should have a right to experience the box itself and all the components inside that would help her to nurture herself once a month. We believe all girls should have that special “treasure” box of items that are exclusively and privately hers.
It’s been well over a year since my daughter's first period. I wouldn’t feel right giving her a Celebration Box at this point, yet I want to get something special for her. Any ideas? Yes! Many of our products are great for women of all ages, period or not. Since she is already a woman, but still very young, I would suggest our Positive Picks inspirational cards. Here she gets a pack of 20 inspirational notes that would help any girl feel special, build self esteem and have a positive attitude into becoming and growing into a mature woman! Keep in mind a girl is never to old to learn the values of taking care of oneself. Our Energy Rub, Active Spritz, Calm Myst and Comfort Herbal Pillow are all great in easing the discomfort of cramps young and old alike!
